Aunt Annie's Favorite Recipe for Cran-Cherry Oatmeal Cookies

* Preheat oven 350 degrees F
* 175 degrees C

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup dried cherries
- 1 cup dried cranberries

Directions

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

Cream butter or margarine,
cinnamon, and brown sugar.

Mix in applesauce.
Gradually blend in flour,
with baking soda mixed in flour.
When all is mixed well, add oats.
Stir in dried stuff.
Let dough sit for one hour.

After one hour, drop teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheet.

** bake at 350 degrees F
for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are slightly browned.
Cool on wire rack.

I use dried cherry flavored Cran-raisins and golden raisins for the dried fruits.
